Fig. 2. Network matrix between two species groups. Nestedness is expressed by sorting the two species interaction in the order of high frequency of connection (A). The higher the nestedness, the more complex the connectivity. Grouping between species with high connectivity interaction and functional gathering is called modularity (B). Through the modularity, the importance of subgroups can be compared and hub species can be identified.
